Who We Are

There is a place for your family at Genesis Church. Our church services are designed for families who long for their children to be influenced to godliness. The emphasis of this ministry is to invest in another generation for the glory of the Lord.

We Don’t Have It All Together
That’s probably why we’re such a close family. We’re all “limping through life” and
growing in grace together.

We’re Not Evaluating You
When you walk in, we’re just glad to see you! There’s no pressure to “measure up”
or “fit in.” None of us really measure up, and we’re all unique. The tie that binds
us together is not our sameness but our same God who sanctifies us.

Our Statement of Faith

1. We believe the Scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament are verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original manuscripts, and that they are of supreme, sufficient, and final authority in faith and life.
2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.
4. We believe in the Genesis account of creation and that it is to be accepted literally, and not figuratively or allegorically; that man was created directly in God’s image and after His likeness; that man’s creation was not a matter of evolution or evolutionary change of species or developments through interminable periods of time from lower to higher forms; that all animals and vegetable life were made directly, and God’s established law was that they should bring forth only “after their kind”.
5. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and, thereby, incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and manifest themselves as sinners in thought, word, and deed.
6. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified by grace alone, through faith alone, on the grounds of His shed blood alone.
7. We believe in the resurrection and the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.
8. We believe in “that blessed hope,” the personal, premillennial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
9. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become the children of God.
10. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost, and eternal fellowship with the Father by believers.
11. We believe that Biblical growth is a process whereby the believer, through the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, puts off old habits and grows in the likeness of Christ.
